Easy Kinamatisang Isda Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lbs red snapper, scales and innards removed

  • 4 pcs medium plum tomatoes, wedged

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced

  • 5 cups water

  • 2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)

HOW TO COOK:

  1. Pour water in a cooking pot and let it boil.

  2. Add the tomatoes and onion.

  3. Cover and continue to cook in medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes (add more water if needed).

  4. Remove the cover and mash the tomatoes and onion to extract the flavor.

  5. Add the fish.

  6. Cover and cook in low to medium heat for 15 minutes.

  7. Pour- in the fish sauce.

  8. Stir and cook for another 3 minutes or until the liquid reduces to your desired amount.

  9. Transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy!
